The Electrical Engineering Department at Pulchowk campus of the Institute of Engineering (IOE) is performing its role as a major constituent of the institute since its establishment in 1972 and is devoted to the production of engineers capable of meeting the national aspiration for accelerated development of the country.
Objectives:
- To produce engineering manpower needed for meeting the national aspirations and goals
- To perform various research and development work so as to strengthen the national engineering capabilities and solve engineering problems
- To offer various types of training, sponsored courses, conducting problem-oriented research and providing engineering consultancy services, catering towards greater mobilization of the IOE human and physical resources for the technical advancement of the nation

Greetings!
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the Department of Electrical Engineering, Pulchowk Campus.
Department of Electrical Engineering is one of the most active departments in Pulchowk Campus, Lalitpur We are committed to strengthening the relationship among our students, faculty, and staff as we understand they are our important assets. Our team of faculties and staff work in proper coordination to maintain a good environment for learning, innovation, and research.
To address the growing demand for Electrical Engineers in both the public and commercial sectors, the Department is putting out its best efforts to develop highly skilled and capable engineers who are ready to take on real-world issues.
The department’s two main goals are to maintain strong academic standards while also emphasizing the importance of practical work. The department includes a good mix of well-known as well as young and vibrant individuals who are committed to providing high-quality education. The faculty works to develop and promote a teaching methodology that is both practical and theoretical in nature.
The lab facilities are being upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for the students to learn and innovate. The Department has started special classes for training’s of MATLAB, AutoCAD or other Software’s to enhance the capability of students. The Department also organizes interactive lectures by inviting Alumni and Technocrats from industries for the overall development of students.
Electrical Club has been established by the students for the extra-curricular activities. This society conducts various technical and cultural events regularly.
From the desk, we admire for our former and present faculties, partners, non-teaching staffs and students who contributed to the department to make it the best so far. We, further look forward to the continuous co-operation for betterment. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who are associated with the department.
