The department was initially started with the main objective of generating technical manpower of the national need at the overseer level. Later in the year 1994, the department started four years bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with the technical and financial assistance of the World Bank, Swiss Association for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
We started master’s in science in Power system engineering in 2001 AD with specialization in the power sector in Nepal and recent trends in electrical engineering.
